Lifting State Up
Lifting state up means moving shared state to the closest common parent component so that multiple child components can use the same data.
Why Lift State?
- Share data between components.
- Keep a single source of truth.
- Coordinate related components.
- Reduce duplicated state.
This pattern is commonly used when sibling components need to work with the same data.
